How well do you know the goings on in South Park? Take this quiz to find out

Last summer, South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone signed a $$900 million deal with Paramount+ to keep the show going for another 50 episodes across five years. That may seem like a staggering figure for a low-budget animated show on basic cable, but South Park is a financial juggernaut for Paramount and Comedy Central that somehow never sheds viewers or grows stale. That’s largely due to the genuine genius of Parker and Stone, and their willingness to mock everyone and everything, regardless of whom they enrage in the process. (The political left was mad at them for years for dismissing climate change as a hoax, but they repented for that in a memorable 2018 episode where they admitted they were wrong. And they spent last year skewering Trump and the entire MAGA universe in vicious fashion.) Throughout the long journey, South Park has created diehard fans who have practically memorized the entire run of the series. Are you one of them? Take our quiz to find out.

Zero to 30 percent correct: “Your tears are so yummy and sweet. Ohhh, the tears of immeasurable sadness!” Since you scored so low, you likely don’t know that we’re quoting from the classic Season Five episode “Scott Tenorman Must Die.” We highly recommend you stop what you’re doing, watch the episode, and then take a couple of months and just mainline the entire series. It’s worth it.

31 to 60 percent correct: Very good. It’s clear you’ve spent a fair amount of time with Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Cartman. (And if you’re like us, you feel they’ve paid way too much attention to Randy Marsh in recent years. We were not upset to see Tegridy Farms close.) The entire series is on Paramount+. It might be a good idea to go back for a rewatch. The classic episodes have aged remarkably well.

61 to 100 percent correct: Excellent. There’s not much more we can teach you. But if you want to learn more about South Park, we recommend the 2011 documentary 6 Days to Air. It’s a fly-on-the-wall look at the wild process of creating an entire episode of South Park in less than a week. You’ll walk away very impressed with the entire South Park team. For something a little more recent, take a look at ¡Casa Bonita Mi Amor!. It’s a hysterical look at Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s attempt to revive their favorite childhood restaurant.
