Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour Reunite at Stranger Things Premiere

Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour shut down rumors of bullying and harassment on the Stranger Things set by posing together and praising each other at the final season premiere event on Thursday.

“I’ve obviously had a really special bond with David because we have a father-daughter relationship, and we do every scene together,” Brown told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet. “You really get to see that in season 5.”

Harbour told ET of Brown, “I adore her, and I’ve been proud to watch all of them grow up and become great artists. I doubt it will be the last time we’ll see each other in this world or work together.”

The red carpet reunion between the two actors comes just a week after the Daily Mail reported that Brown allegedly filed harassment and bullying claims against Harbour — who plays her adoptive dad of sorts on the series — with producers of the hit Netflix show prior to shooting the final season.

“There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months,” a source told the Daily Mail. Brown’s specific accusations against Harbour were not revealed, but no sexual impropriety was reportedly alleged.

While the co-stars didn’t address the bullying report on the red carpet, Stranger Things creators Ross and Matt Duffer and director Shawn Levy were each asked about its veracity.

“Obviously, you understand I can’t get into personal on-set matters, but I will say we’ve been doing this for 10 years with this cast, and at this point they’re family and we deeply care about them,” Ross Duffer told the Hollywood Reporter. “So, you know, nothing matters more than just having a set where everyone feels safe and happy.”

“I’ve read a bunch of stories, and they range from wildly inaccurate to…there’s so much noise around it. But the truth is that we view this crew and this cast as family, and so we treat each other with respect, and that’s always been bedrock,” Levy added.

“At the end of the day, that’s the job. You have to create a respectful workplace where everyone feels comfortable and safe, and so we did everything to build that environment. And we’re proud of the fact that we did so.”

Brown has recently shown she has no issue firing back at those who bully her, pushing back against the scrutiny and criticism she has faced regarding her appearance.

“I respect journalism. I love reading articles on my favorite people and hearing what they’re up to. I understand that there’s paparazzi, even though it’s invasive, even though it feels like shit to me – I know that’s your job,” Brown told British Vogue earlier this month. “But don’t, in your headline, slam me at the get-go. It is so wrong and it is bullying, especially to young girls who are new to this industry and are already questioning everything about it.”
